Le Chant du Monde, CNR 2741009 (april 1996)

This record is the first one which is devoted to the music of the Nzakara and Zande people from Central African Republic. It presents recordings which were made from 1965 to 1993. Most of the Nzakara-Zande music instruments are present in this record (drums, xylophones, sanza, bells). But a special section of the record is devoted to the harp, an instrument which played a particular role in the old Nzakara-Zande kindoms. A 126 pages booklet gives the full transcriptions of the song-texts.
